ChileCarne member company Coexca made its first fresh pork export to the Japanese market, a first for the Chilean meat industry. The shipment, a container loaded with selected cuts, was the result of long-term strategic planning by several areas of the company, its commercial office in Tokyo, and the technical support of the Agricultural and Livestock Service (SAG).

The sale represents a new line of business for the company and a key step in the consolidation of its commercial relationship with Japan, one of its main strategic markets. Until now, its exports to the Asian country had focused on frozen products; with this new format, the company has become a pioneer in the export of fresh Chilean meat to Japan’s demanding market.

The shipment was assembled under rigorous quality standards to meet the particular requirements of Japanese consumers in terms of selection, processing, and packaging. Through this initiative, the company has reaffirmed its capacity to innovate and adapt to the demands of the international market.
