ChileCarne recently held a training session at Agrosuper’s chicken plants in Lo Miranda and San Vicente, focusing on adherence to the U.S. regulatory requirement known as the Final Product Standard (FPS). This standard was established by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) of the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA). The objective of the standard is to ensure that exported meat products meet the highest levels of safety and quality, in line with international health regulations.
Miguel Adasme, Head of Industrial Affairs, and Adriana Aguirre, Industrial Affairs Manager at ChileCarne, led the session. It featured a thorough review of the applicable regulatory framework, covering FDA and FSIS regulations, as well as the online monitoring procedures implemented to ensure ongoing compliance with these standards. An on-site inspection was also conducted to evaluate current production and inspection processes, identifying opportunities to enhance and strengthen operations.
These training sessions reaffirm ChileCarne’s commitment to the safety and quality of poultry exports, ensuring compliance with the highest international standards and helping to position the Chilean meat industry in global markets.
