On May 6, 2025, Agrícola AASA, together with Agrícola Chorombo, officially handed over a third recycling center for the community of San Ramón in the Mallarauco Valley, part of the Melipilla municipality. The ceremony took place at the local neighborhood association and was part of the companies’ joint plan to strengthen ties with rural communities through concrete environmental education and waste management actions.
The event was attended by leaders of local neighborhood associations, municipal authorities, executives from both companies, and students from Ramón Noguera School. The school was presented with differentiated recycling bins to help facilitate the implementation of recycling practices throughout the school community. In addition, the students took part in a hands-on activity to learn about waste separation, with a practical and participatory approach.
This third recycling center comes in addition to two others already installed by Agrícola AASA in the Mallarauco Valley: the first in San José and the second in the town of El Carmen. With these three facilities up and running, the company seeks to expand community recycling services and provide neighbors with access to suitable places to responsibly dispose of recyclable waste. Each center was designed to operate in coordination with local social organizations, thus promoting shared sustainable management in the long term.
