Last April, ChileCarne released its Annual Report, which covers the actions carried out in 2022 in coordination with the public and private sectors to facilitate exports and ensure smooth trading with other countries. This includes deepening access to existing markets and reaching new ones.

According to the report, the focus in 2022 was on ASEAN, particularly Vietnam and Indonesia. Progress was also made on zoning protocols to protect trade flows and a new proposal for a memorandum of understanding to expand the list of Chilean products that can be exported to China.

In animal health and welfare, we updated our surveillance plans for exotic diseases, developed emergency plans, and implemented biosecurity measures. Additionally, the Association monitored all bills related to animal welfare to make sure they do not hinder the industry’s competitiveness, among other initiatives to position Chile as a reliable and advanced country.
