The seminar took place on January 25 at the José María Aznar Auditorium of Universidad Andrés Bello.

The first Seminar on “Global Challenges, Science and Innovation: Dialogues with Leaders from UC Davis and Chile,” was attended by the highest representatives from the University of California, Davis, led by its Chancellor Gary S. May, and renowned speakers who discussed the current challenges of the food production sector.

Chancellor May had been hosted the day before by the United States Ambassador to Chile, Mrs. Bernadette Meehan. UC Davis alumni and the main leaders of the food production sector were invited, including Juan Carlos Domínguez, President of ChileCarne.

”One of the biggest issues when facing the challenges of our sector is to ensure that the public sector, the private sector, and academia can work in coordination. Meetings like this facilitate coming together and proposing alternatives for joint work in the search for solutions to our challenges,” said Domínguez.
