On Tuesday, April 18, the meeting “Trade and economic and commercial cooperation between China and Chile” was held at the Marriott Hotel in Santiago. It was attended by major wine, meat, fresh fruit, and frozen foods importers, as well as government officials from Yantian, China. The aim was to connect these companies with Chile’s export offer in the agri-food sector.

ChileCarne attended the event to reactivate connections and business ties after three years of pandemic. The delegation from Yantian’s government and importers expressed great interest in learning about the Chilean offer in the sector.

“This meeting was an excellent opportunity to strengthen commercial ties between Chile and China in the agri-food sector. The presence of officials and major companies made it clear that this market is relevant for both countries and that we need to continue working together to promote economic and commercial cooperation,” said Juan Carlos Domínguez, president of ChileCarne, who gave a presentation at the meeting.
