Maxagro’s Las Pataguas slaughtering plant renewed its ISO 9001 and 14001 certifications, consolidating the company’s commitment to doing business under international quality standards that care for the environment.

ISO 9001 is the most renowned quality management standard worldwide. It belongs to the ISO 9000 family of quality management system standards that help organizations meet the expectations and needs of their customers, among other benefits.

In turn, ISO 14001 requires companies to create an environmental management plan that includes: environmental objectives and goals, policies and procedures to achieve them, clear responsibilities, training activities, documentation, and a control system for all changes and progress made.

“With these certifications, we reaffirm our commitment to deliver a high quality product, inspired by continuous improvement and always ensuring the protection of the environment. Congratulations to everyone who makes these achievements possible!” said Maxagro in a statement.
